Visiting family in West Sussex and staying in Southwick we found this fabulous Italian restaurant for our first evening meal. We were worried it may be quiet on a Tuesday evening after a Bank Holiday but couldn’t have been more wrong. Atmosphere was great, staff busy but attentive, and the food was excellent. We wouldn’t have found it by chance, because of its location, but found it using Google Maps.
This hidden gem is amazing. The food was delicious. Our guests mainly had pizza and steak the guys with steak loved it and compared it to miller and carter. So that says something right there. The pizza rolled pizza was amazing. Very generous with toppings. We can’t wait to go back in the evenings so we can pair it with a cocktail rather than coffee. The waitresses are so friendly and polite. Service was great. Can’t believe that I’d never heard of it before.
We have eaten as a family at La Tavola several times now and I have to say that it has a quality and authenticity beyond expectation. The food is the standout but the service is also very friendly and the wines are good too. Would definitely recommend, and will be back!
It is absolutely delicious, definitely in my top 5 restaurants in West Sussex! The pizza rolls in the starter option are divine. Ceasar salad... omg! Seafood risotto, its mouth watering.

We loved this restaurant. Bruschetta to start, salmon with brandy and artichoke cream sauce, seafood risotto. Shared a banoffee pie and finished with coffee. Service great, music just right. Look forward to visiting again. Really easy paid car park at the rear 1.70 for 2 hours. Beware steps to reach the restaurant. 73 including tip.
me and my family we always go here for birthdays as a big group. the food is a reasonable price and it always tastes fabulous there is nothing ever wrong with our food and it always comes out nice and hot. the calzones are always massive and the carbonara is amazing. would recommend to everyone!
Can't believe we got there at 5.30pm and it was packed.. that speaks volumes.. food was very tasty and well presented.. I had the salmon and artichoke with creamy sauce and fresh vegetables.. delicious.. my wife's fillet steak was very generous in size and tender.. hats off to the chef
